Calvary to Help Host Room at the Inn

Room at the Inn
Calvary will be helping to host Room at the Inn one week this coming January.  Many parishioners have assisted with this ministry to the homeless over the past three years.  This year RATI will rotate between several congregations, Calvary being one of them.  Please watch for further information.
A hint of Jesus’ vision for the human community:
“Come, you that are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world;for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.” Then the righteous will answer him, “Lord, when was it that we saw you hungry and gave you food, or thirsty and gave you something to drink? And when was it that we saw you a stranger and welcomed you, or naked and gave you clothing? And when was it that we saw you sick or in prison and visited you?” And the king will answer them, “Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.”  Matthew 25

All Saints Sunday, November 3rd

We are looking forward to a beautiful celebration of All Saints Sunday on November 3! We will welcome new members of the body of Christ through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism, and we will remember in our prayers those who have passed to the Church Triumphant. We will also celebrate our current life in Christ through a ministry parade, and the children will sing at the 10:30am worship service.
If you have a name of a loved one who has died since last All Saints Day, and would like their name to be included in the bulletin, please contact Laura Davidson in the church office by October 30. If you are interested in baptism for you or a member of your family, please contact Father Knute or Pastor Cathy as soon as possible.
