Alcoholics Anonymous
The Can’t Wait ‘Til 8 A.A. group has spent much of its ten-year history meeting at Calvary Episcopal Church. Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experiences, strengths and hopes with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking.

Boone Hospital Service
In coordination with the chaplain at Boone Hospital, Calvary members provide Sunday services at the hospital one month of the year (usually May). The services begin at 10:00 am at Boone Hospital Center, with participants meeting earlier to prepare. The services are televised via closed circuit TV and recorded for patient use during the week.
Boy Scout Troop 707
Calvary hosts Troop 707, which meets on Tuesdays (7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.) in the Parish Hall.
Troop 707 participates in Columbia’s Adopt A Highway program, regularly cleaning a section of Stadium Drive. They also host the annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper.
The Wardrobe
The Wardrobe provides good used clothing for anyone needing it. Clothing is donated by members of the Columbia community. It can be purchased by anyone for a minimal cost. The money made from the sale of clothing is used to provide resources for school aged children each fall.
The Wardrobe is staffed by volunteers from churches in Columbia. Calvary members work the first Wednesday of every month. The Wardrobe is managed by a board composed of representatives from a number of churches in the community. The board manages repairs to the building and paying the bills (heat, water, electricity), and decides on dates for the special sale days.
St. Nicholas Advent Bazaar
Calvary’s annual St. Nicholas Advent bazaar takes place on the first Saturday in December. It features Calvary’s famous church mice, proudly made by Calvary Mousers for the last thirty years, as well as other craft items, baked goods, books, toys, and other gifts.
Habitat for Humanity Chili Supper
Calvary hosts an annual chili supper as benefit for Habitat for Humanity, usually in February or March.
Loaves & Fishes
Loaves and Fishes is a program of the Catholic Worker Community. The “soup kitchen” is located at the corner of Seventh and Park in the Columbia Housing Authority apartment complex. Calvary is responsible for the Sunday night meal twice a month.
