Did you know that Calvary has a team of LEMs who help bring communion to our home-bound parishioners?

LEM stands for “Lay Eucharistic Minister.”   In encouraging the ministry of LEMS, the Episcopal Church is reviving an ancient practice that goes back to the earliest centuries of Christianity.  LEMs are specially trained to bring consecrated bread and wine from the parish altar out to the sick and shut in.  At Calvary LEMs assist the clergy in the important ministry of pastoral care.

Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood have eternal life, and I will raise them up on the last day  John 6:54
