Calvary has a long tradition of excellent choral and instrumental music. We have both an adult and a youth choir as well as a handbell choir, all under the direction of Matt Felts and accompanied by our organist,Rochelle Parker. We provide music for the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service and for special services throughout the year.
If you are interested in joining one of our music groups, please contact Matt Felts.
The youth choir is open to young people in the third grade or older. Beginning choristers are provided with a training program each fall to acquaint them with the liturgy and service music of the church. Annual events include several fellowship activities, including a trip to St. Louis for the Diocesan Flower Festival in the spring. Canterbury Choir rehearses on Wednesday afternoons, from 5:30 to 6:30, September through May.
The adult choir of Calvary parish is open to all senior-high age or older members of the congregation who are reasonably acquainted with music. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings, from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., September through May.
The handbell choir plays at services about once a month throughout the year. The handbell choir rehearses on Tuesdays from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., September through May.
