Maundy Thursday Agape Meal
This year’s Agape Meal will take place in the parish hall, from 6-7pm on March 28th, Maundy Thursday. Our community meal helps us remember Jesus’ Last Supper with his disciples, where he gave them the commandment “love one another”. The Mediterranean style dinner will be followed by the Maundy Thursday liturgy in the church. We need people to bring breads and vegetarian soups for the Agape Meal. If you can help out, please phone the parish office: 449-3194.
Saturdays for Seniors
Beth Simpson reports the last Saturdays for Seniors was well attended. The only problem was that the snow the team had planned to clear off people’s driveways had already melted! Still, the team enjoyed a hearty breakfast together before they set out, and were able to help some area seniors with some important jobs around the house. Saturdays for Seniors is a Calvary Ministry to elderly members of the Columbia community who need an occasional helping hand around the house.
One More Lenten Soup Supper–Wednesday, March 20th
This year’s Lenten Soup Suppers have been well attended, and the soups and breads have been marvelous! After supper, we have moved to the chapel for discussion and learning. There is one more soup supper left! You are welcome to attend regardless of whether you’ve been able to make any of the previous ones. Hope to see you next Wednesday for a time of fellowship and learning as we “build community in the Spirit of Jesus.”

Easter Morning
There will be no Sunday School on Easter morning. Instead, Church School children are invited to arrive a little before the 9:00 a.m. worship service to help dig up the Alleluia Banner, symbolizing Christ’s resurrection. During the 9:00 Family Holy Eucharist service, children will flower the cross. You may bring cut flowers, and we will have some extra flowers here. We look forward to a joyous Easter morning!
