First Communion Instruction for Children
While it is the policy of the Episcopal Church that children may begin receiving communion as soon as they have been baptized (at the discretion of their parents), we at Calvary like to provide annual instruction to help our children understand the meaning of the Sacrament. This instruction is especially tailored to help children who will be receiving communion for the first time, or who have recently begun receiving. This year, the instruction will be provided during Children’s Chapel, from 10:30-11:10 on Sunday, April 28th, and Sunday, May 12th. This instruction makes a great refresher course for all parish children, ages 3 or 4 through about 10 years of age. Parents may attend these instructional sessions if they would like, but it is not necessary for them to do so.
Calvary Class to Address Health Care Decision Making Issues
The Adult Sunday School classes on April 21st and April 28th will discuss healthcare decision making while considering the teachings of the Easter season. We hope you can join us for this important discussion in an area where our Christian Faith can help inform some of life’s most important decisions, and contribute perspective to a national discussion.
