Blue Christmas Service December 21

BlueChristmasDec21Once again this year, Calvary will offer a worship service especially for those who may find the holidays difficult due to grief or other loss. The Blue Christmas service will take place Monday, December 21 at 6:00pm. This service, also sometimes called “Longest Night,” is usually held near the Winter Solstice, and is meant especially for those who desire a quiet, reflective, yet hopeful time of prayer in the midst of a sometimes overwhelming holiday season. We will light the four candles on the advent wreath as we seek to experience the peace and comfort of Christ, recognizing those griefs or other losses that might be weighing on our hearts. An individual time of prayer for all those who desire will also be offered. All are invited to this service of comfort and hope.

Super Sunday December 20

hanginggreens1This coming Sunday, December 20th is Super Sunday! Everyone is invited to stay after worship as we decorate the church for Christmas, enjoy making holiday crafts, frosting and decorating gingerbread houses, and then sit down to a chili lunch. We especially hope that those willing climb ladders to hang the evergreens in the nave will plan to stay! All are welcome!
