Monday School Resumes

Monday School resumed on September 9, continuing its study of the Book of John for 8 weeks. We will gather in the Parish Hall at 6:00 pm each Monday, enjoy a light meal and each other’s company and move to the Chapel at 6:30 pm for an hour of study and discussion. You can step into this class at any time; each lesson can stand alone.

Calvary Hosts Saturday Breakfast Cafe

Despite the stormy weather, 45 guests joined us for a homemade breakfast on Saturday, August 17th. Thanks to everyone who donated items and/or helped out. If you would like to learn more about volunteering for the Café, please contact the parish office. We begin cooking at 7:00 am and serve breakfast from 8:00 am to 9:00 am. We are usually finished cleaning up by around 9:30 am. If you are not available on Saturday morning but would still like to contribute to this important ministry, you can purchase or prepare food and drop it off in the kitchen during the week. Just make sure to label items so we will know they are for the Café. You are also welcome to come and have breakfast any Saturday with our guests!

Donate to Tiger Pantry

Calvary is partnering with Tiger Pantry during the upcoming school year to help students, staff and faculty in Columbia who struggle with food insecurity. Rice, dry pasta, canned beans and canned tuna can be dropped into bins in the narthex. Our collection time has been extended through Sunday, September 8. Cash donations will also be accepted.
Public university student tuition, fees, room and board increased 10-fold in the last 40 years while public support for universities dropped and Missouri’s minimum increased a little more than 3-fold. Donations from Calvary will help these people – our neighbors, remain on the path to a promising future.  Click below to see video:
